Deepika Padukone to skip 'Project K' launch amid SAG-AFTRA strike

LAHORE (Web Desk) - Deepika Padukon’s ‘Project K’ is set to launch at at the San Diego Comic-Con, however she has decided to skip the event amid SAG-AFTRA strike.
Deepika has decided to skip the event amid Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and American Federation of Television and Radio Artists’ call for strike against the prevailing system of low-wages. Whereas, the lead stars Prabhas and Rana Daggubati has reportedly reached the US to attend the Comic-Con launch.
In May 2023, the actors and writers in Hollywood initiated a protest against the SAG federation to fight for labour laws.Upon failing to reach an agreement with the government many actors announced a strike last week.
Project K is directed by Nag Ashwin, starring Deepika Padukone, Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan in lead roles. The film is slated to release on January 12, 2024
